TrainingReports.org is a Police
Technical LLC property. TrainingReports.org was
created to serve the training interests of law
enforcement personnel across the United States.
In the late 1970's and 1980's law
enforcement agencies were "put on notice" for
failing to train personnel. This apparent lack of
training created a secondary market for private law
enforcement trainers. These trainers were usually
retired law enforcement personnel, who after
"serving their time" hung out a shingle and began
to provide private fee-based training.
With so many providers offering
similar services, the question for Agency
Administrators quickly becomes: Who provides the
best training in (insert law enforcement subject
here)? TrainingReports.org is designed to help
answer this question. By providing a database of
law enforcement training reports (i.e. training
evaluations) prospective students and agency
decision-makers can research a provider or
instructor before committing hundreds or even
thousands of dollars for training that may be
sub-standard.
The Agency Training Dilemma
You have an obvious need for
training; perhaps a crime wave is taking a hold of
your jurisdiction or through attrition you have
lost key personnel trained in specific areas. You need
to train a few officers in a specific subject. No
one in your department has the skill set to train
from within, and waiting for the State to provide
training means waiting too long. You decide to look
"outside" for trainers.
Medium Sized Agency
You are the head of a medium sized law enforcement
agency. A quick internet search reveals six private
companies seemingly capable of training your
personnel. After a few phone calls and a couple of
recommendations from peers you decide to send your
personnel to Company X for the training. Was it a
good choice? Time will tell.
Large Sized Agency
You are head of a large law enforcement agency. You
have the resources to send several officers to
different companies as scouts to find out who is
providing the best training. Once you've scouted
the market - you can send the remaining personnel
to the "best" choice. Some officers will receive great
training; officers that attended the "other"
companies are just out of luck. You also have
consistency problems in that people were trained
in different methods.
Small Sized Agency
You are head of a small law enforcement agency. You
have limited resources. You can send one person,
and ONLY ONE, to receive training. This officer
needs to receive the best training possible because
he is expected to train others "at home" upon
returning from class.
TrainingReports.org - We Can Help
With the help of
TrainingReports.org you have access to hundreds of
training evaluations of private law enforcement
training courses created by officers from around the
country.
Training companies come and go,
and some are better then others. Before you spend
your budget, check with officer's who have
already been there.
